President – liaison between NAMI Hall and NAMI Georgia. Responsible for leading the NAMI Hall Leadership Team which currently meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
NAMI Hall NAMIWalks Chair for NAMIWalks North Georgia to be held in Gainesville on Nov 9, 2019. This person will be the NAMI Hall point of contact with NAMI Georgia and is responsible for leading and coordinating NAMI HALL NAMIWalks events and teams, and participating in NAMI Georgia NAMIWalks meetings. This person should be comfortable with the NAMIWalks website platform.
Family Support Group Facilitator – co-facilitate the Family Support Group that meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month in the evening. Openings in Gainesville, Athens and Watkinsville. Must complete NAMI Georgia Family Support Group Facilitator training. The next training is at the NAMI Georgia office July 27 -28, 2019. If we get enough attendees, we may be able to conduct this training in the Gainesville area.
Advocacy Representative – liaison with NAMI Georgia. Must complete NAMI SMARTS advocacy training.
Utilize NAMI Georgia’s policy platform, legislative agenda and direct consultation as the guide to all NAMI Hall Affiliate advocacy activities.
Work with NAMI Georgia to coordinate advocacy appropriate to NAMI Hall Affiliate.
Distribute NAMI Georgia advocacy alerts to and through local contacts.
Actively participate in NAMI Georgia advocacy activities when requested.
Attend NAMI Georgia Advocacy Day in the state capital.
CIT Representative/Advocate Host – responsible for coordinating local CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) training events attended by first responders. Training is July 11, 2019 10 – 1 p.m. at the NAMI Georgia office. May be eligible for a scholarship to attend the CIT International Conference in Seattle, WA August 26 – 28, 2019.
